- 2020 - 2021: Designing Sustainable Community-Based Mangrove Harvesting and Restoration Models in Rufiji Delta, Tanzania. Funded by UNEP through WIOSAP.
- 2019 - 2021: Larval Fish Production and Dispersal in Critical Habitats of the Coastal East Africa. Funded by WIOMSA via MASMA Grant.
- 2019 - 2021: Ecosystem Based Protection of the Coastal Zone: the effectiveness of Seagrass Meadows in Coastal Erosion Management.
- 2020 - 2021: Die-off of mangrove Rhizophora mucronata in Zigi River Estuary, Tanga - Tanzania: Causes and implications on ecological integrity.
- 2017-2021: Sustainable Oceans Livelihoods and food Security Through Increased Capacity in Ecosystem Research in the Western Indian Ocean (SOLSTICE-WIO) project. Funded by the UK Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF)
